Yana Zuraeva is a Buryat visual artist born and raised in Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Russia. She has a background in arts and animation and has worked as a 3D artist in the animation industry since 2018. She publishes short stories, personal reflections, and essays on her blog at Waterfalls of Qaf and is a contributor at Kasurian Magazine.
Her interests include the anthropology of Siberian peoples, Russian literature, Islamic mysticism, as well as the history of religion and sacred traditions.
She lives between Toronto, Canada and London, UK.
